Youth Ministry
Mission
St. Peter Youth Ministry and the dedicated corps of adult volunteers is to lead youth from their adolescent lives into mature, loving and critically thinking adults who understand, experience, live and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Program
The St. Peter Youth Ministry is a total youth ministry program planned by a youth core team and adults that offers it all, from awesome retreats to great social events, from service and leadership opportunities to meaningful prayer experiences. Total Youth Ministry also means that all are welcome. So whether you go to Wayne, Carroll, Chaminade-Julienne, Stebbins, or any other high school program, you have a home here.
Meetings
We gather and combine deep discussion and serious subject matter with laughter and fun. We have the deepest respect for young people and take their well being and life very seriously. We seek to enrich the whole person, spiritually, socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically. High School students meet every Sunday night from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. during the school year and cover topics that affect youth’s lives. Examples of some of our past discussions include Morality, World Religions, Sacraments, Scripture, and Life Issues. We schedule, retreats, social events and are involved in organized service opportunities.
Volunteers
Our ministry cannot survive without the help of the parents. Support us with your prayers and time. Several volunteer opportunities are available. For more information, please contact the Religious Education Office at 237-3516 ext 1 or email sfosnot@saintpeterparish.org
