Latchkey: Before & After School Care
The St. Peter Latchkey Program offers students personal and social experiences within a Christian environment. The program's objectives is to encourage the development of each child to his or her fullest potential.
The St. Peter Latchkey program provides affection, support, guidance and loving discipline during the absence of a parent. A trained staff encourages the development of a healthy self-image, a positive attitude, and good manners.
Program Description
St Peter Latchkey is a before and after school program for St. Peter students that acts as a transition time between the regular school day and home. It offers students a safe, nurturing and enriching environment where they enjoy crafts, board games, gym activities, movies, outdoor play, field trips (on non-school days), socializing andrefreshments within a relaxed atmosphere. In addition, a staff member supervises a homework room here students can receive academic assistance.
Staff
The Latchkey program is supervised by one Director or Assistant Director under the direction of the Principle of St. Peter School. The ratio of staff to student is one adult to approximately 18 children. All staff members are Red Cross certified in CPR and First Aid.
