Giving Tree

Each Advent, the parishioners at St. Peter have an opportunity to reach out to the poor, the lonely and the sick with special Christmas presents. For two weekends, heart tags are put on the bare branch tree in the sanctuary of the church. These tags contain requests for a specific gift for someone at the following locations: Springcreek Nursing Home, Montgomery Developmental Center, Stillwater Health Center, a retirement community, East Dayton DayCare Center, St. Vincent Hotel, the Battered Women and Children’s Center, and area families in need. The gifts are returned to the church, then sorted and delivered by volunteers. Contact Janet Lewis at 233-0594.
