The St. Peter Kindergarten Enrichment Class provides kindergarten children with a structured learning environment in a loving and Christian atmosphere. The program encourages the development of each child to his or her fullest potential. "Kindergarten Enrichment" is a class that provides care opposite the kindergarten class. Reinforcement of the kindergarten curriculum and individual attention to specific areas are provided. The class offers structured learning, playtime, outside activities and arts and crafts. Of Operation School Days Enrollment Guidelines Kindergarten Enrichment is offered on a consistent part-time basis. Space permitting, part time Kindergarten Enrichment will be available, with a minimum of two days a week. Food
Service Daily Activities 1. All staff members are Red Cross certified in CPR and First Aid. 2. No child will be left alone unsupervised during indoor or outdoor play. 3. No child will be released to anyone other than the parents or legal guardian unless prior written arrangements and visual verification has been made with the staff members and/or the Coordinator 4. There is immediate access at all times to a working telephone located in the School. 5. No spray aerosols will be used when children are in attendance. 6. All staff are required by law to immediately notify the local public Children Services Board when child abuse or neglect is suspected. 7. Procedures for fire and tornado drills shall be explained and practiced with the children. These procedures shall be posted by the door. Drills shall be conducted throughout the school year on a monthly basis.
1. Students with a temperature of 100 degrees or more in the last 24 hours. 2. Students with a diarrhea or vomiting incident in the previous 24 hours. 3. Students with an undetermined rash. 4. Students with a severe cough or cold symptoms. 5. Students with head lice or pink eye. Absence Discipline Methods Of Discipline 1. Individual discussion of behavior with the child geared to the child's level of understanding. 2. Redirection to another area if appropriate. 3. "Time Out" -- the child is removed from the group, but not from the room, for a short period of time. 4. Removal of child from the room to be supervised in the office area by additional staff as a last resort. 5. Parent conference for repeated unacceptable behavior. Clothing Payment of Fees For those families needing the services of the Latchkey Program in addition to the Enrichment Class your cost is half of the regular Latchkey Fees.
